Data repositories are well suited for interfacing data that are not time critical (e.g., batch). This includes, but is not limited to, data used in statistical, analysis, and trending packages (e.g., Solucient/HBSI EXPLORE). This type of data can be difficult and slow to extract out of a MEDITECH transactional system.
